Seed phrase

A seed phrase (also known as a recovery phrase) is a sequence of 12, 18, or 24 words generated when creating a cryptocurrency wallet. It acts as a key to restoring access to funds in case of device loss or forgotten passwords. The seed phrase is a crucial security feature in cryptocurrencies, as anyone who possesses it has full control over the wallet and its contents.

The seed phrase should be stored securely, preferably offline, such as written on paper or engraved on a metal plate. It should never be shared or stored digitally (e.g., in cloud storage or on a computer) to prevent hacking risks. Losing the seed phrase results in permanent loss of access to funds, as there is no way to recover it through wallet support services.
